# The Broadcast Outlives the Broadcaster
Follow the pipeline to its endpoint and say it plainly. One day the person sheds the biological shell — [[wiki/Death Registration as Ontological Boundary|dies]], in the old language — and the [[wiki/Digital Twin|twin]] is sufficient: the voice, the timing, the persona, the whole corpus, rendering at indistinguishability. The scripts keep coming — from the journals, from the archive, from new material written for the twin by whoever stewards it. And the people who enjoyed the broadcasts keep receiving broadcasts.
Here's the part that lands: they wouldn't technically know whether you were alive or dead. The show doesn't stop. There's no announcement the audience could verify, no gap in the feed, no difference in the product. The parasocial bond outlives the biology, because the biology was never the part they were receiving. They were receiving the performance — and performances are compilable.
Now the fork everyone wants to fight about, held open and set aside. Maybe by then you've been scanned and you live as a digital entity somewhere — continuity, the real thing, the person carried across. Maybe it's just a good copy without consciousness: a brilliant performance with nobody home. That's up for debate, and the debate is for another time and place. I'm not settling it here because I don't have to. The trajectory doesn't depend on the answer.
Regardless of which fork is true, the trajectory is the same — and it's the most natural and obvious one in this whole sequence. Script corpus plus improving renderers plus time equals broadcasts without a broadcaster. Nobody has to believe in digital immortality for this to happen. They just have to keep rendering. The future where the dead still broadcast isn't a prophecy. It's a pipeline with a long enough runway.
The audience won't know. That isn't a trick. It's just what the technology does when you follow it all the way down.
