Learn to love being told you are wrong or being insulted.

Learn to love being told you are wrong or being insulted. Every insult is an opportunity. Being insulted offers you an opportunity to practice decency and having a non-response internally. When we are easily upset it is because we are internally unstable and unrefined spiritually. Any defensiveness is a sign of failure. You can’t move … See More...

@bryantmcgill So powerfully freeing. Reminds me of A Course in Miracles teaching: β€œ Your greatest defense lies in your defenseless ness β€œ πŸ’

Thank you. This brilliant teaching goes hand and hand with learning to love with detachment. My spiritual journey. πŸ’

Yes, being able to handle yourself, especially when faced with adversity is admirable. Sometimes our critics are just desperate for our attention. When we fail to give it, we reinforce our own respect. Those that constantly critique others are the worst critics of themselves. Remember, it is broken people who go around trying to break others. Don’t take anything others do personally, it has little if nothing to do with you. πŸ’–

@fari2000 I worked somewhere like that and I really believe they just wanted me to quit for their own reasons. It was time for me to go anyway.

Your opinion, sometimes should be carefully thought out, for assessment of a dire situation
fari2000
I used to work in a place where the competition was high. Their technique was to insult and abuse their power to control me and any way I tried nothing worked and I had to quit because of the constant insult and bully. Sometimes is impossible to keep calm. At least for me!
rajlaxmimanohar
Absolutely! Every criticism is another opening to soul

We will never have enough information to make moral judgments. Value judgements are the price we pay for incomplete knowledge. So I just avoid judgement, and expectations. No disappointment that way!

Someone must have courage under πŸ”₯. This man that I didn't know last year in Boscov Department store said to me when are you going to stop being a good samaritan.. voice typingπŸ“± my question is did he know me have you been listening to me watching me. He meant it as an insult, it was an eye-opener for me. I don't want to stop helping people I don't want to stop speaking up for what's right I don't care how much of a fool I look like I know it changes things I see the changes. I thank you father God who touches lives and it gets the message across where I fail too. So, yes insults oh yeah they hurt but they're worth it every last one is worth the weight of insults, and ridicule. Its for a greater cause. Great post!
