Seventeen exact originals were matched to retrieved full publication or transcript text. The three Desmond Morris passages were checked in the official Open University transcript through web rendering because the command-line fetch did not return the transcript; the ledger does not represent the blocked fetch hash as a source-text hash. Original-source context preserves Wrangham’s hypotheses, Pinker’s proposed mechanisms, Safina’s observation-and-revision qualifier, and Morris’s explicit pessimistic/optimistic contrast.
