## Verified Dialogue Boundary
> “Hello, old friend.”
> **— Robert Ford**, *Westworld, Season 2, Episode 6, “Phase Space” (2018)*
This is the entirety of Ford’s dialogue in the Episode 6 reveal. The former local page continued the scene with invented explanations about becoming a story, surviving “in the phase space,” and maintaining a comprehensive file. Those lines do not occur in the episode and have been removed. Ford’s substantive explanation begins in [[wiki/Westworld S2E7 — The Last Analog Device|the following episode]].
## Technical Interpretation
The episode establishes an observation, not yet an explanation: a Ford representation is running in the Cradle and can interact with Bernard there. Whether that representation constitutes survival, copying, emulation, or continuity remains unresolved at this cut. The distinction is preserved through [[wiki/Model-Subject Boundary|Model-Subject Boundary]], [[wiki/Substrate Independence|Substrate Independence]], and [[wiki/Digital Afterlife|Digital Afterlife]].

## Relationships
- **Episode boundary:** Episode 6 reveals Ford in the Cradle; Episode 7 supplies the explanation.
- **Architecture relationship:** The Cradle is a simulation environment capable of running host-control-unit data.
- **Continuity relationship:** Presence of an interactive model does not alone resolve personal continuity.
