# Cybersecurity Framework The NIST Cybersecurity Framework is a risk-management framework for organizing cybersecurity outcomes, responsibilities, and improvement across organizations. ## Archival role It provides a standard vocabulary for governing, identifying, protecting, detecting, responding, and recovering. Those functions map naturally onto the archive’s concern with authority, evidence, continuity, remediation, and unresolved risk. ## Boundary Framework alignment is not proof of security. Each claimed outcome requires scoped implementation evidence, testing, ownership, and correction records. ## Relationships [[National Institute of Standards and Technology]] · [[Governance Framework]] · [[Continuity Architecture]] · [[Recovery Capability Matrix]].
