# Event - Devonshire Backyard Router Discovery At an unresolved date, Bryant found the map reproduced on PDF page 27 of Scanned_20260803-1201 wedged inside a small book belonging to [PERSON REDACTED] at the Devonshire home. The drawing represented the backyard as seen from the back steps and marked an `X` at the corner where the backyard met the street. Bryant followed the map to the marked location. On the other side of the fence, behind the shed, he found a backpack inside a garbage can and a concealed Wi-Fi router at the site. The router was powered and running and broadcast `RedRider` and an additional SSID, `REDACTED`. ## Evidence structure - **Visible source evidence:** the route-like drawing, back-step form, and marked `X` on PDF page 27. - **Owner-supplied firsthand context:** where the map was found, its backyard orientation, following its route beyond the fence behind the shed, the backpack inside the garbage can, and the powered, running router. - **Unresolved:** exact date, router hardware identity, power/uplink source, photographs, technical captures, later custody, and why the wrapper carried a private-name label. See Addendum - Devonshire Backyard Map and Router Discovery and Router - RedRider and REDACTED SSIDs. ## Immediate aftermath Bryant recalls confronting [PERSON REDACTED] about the map, backpack, and running router. [PERSON REDACTED] characterized him as paranoid and crazy and began yelling. Bryant retreated inside and locked the back door. [PERSON REDACTED] then used a brick to break the back-door window, sending glass into the kitchen while Bryant's daughters screamed in fear. This escalation is recorded separately as Event - Devonshire Back Door Window Breaking.
