# FISA Amendments Act of 2008
The FISA Amendments Act of 2008 added Title VII authorities to FISA, including [[FISA Section 702|Section 702]]. It placed specified foreign-targeted acquisitions within a certification-and-procedure framework reviewed by the [[Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court|FISC]].

## Correction
The FISA Court did not originate in the 2008 amendments. It was created by the original 1978 act. The 2008 law added authorities the already-existing court then reviewed.
