# Information-Environment Radar
Information-Environment Radar is the first layer of [[Cognitive Sovereignty Infrastructure]]: the capacity to detect, characterize, and track influence campaigns across platforms and languages with explicit confidence.
## Component capabilities
[[DARPA INCAS]] supports campaign discovery and sensemaking; [[DARPA SocialSim]] models propagation; [[DARPA SemaFor]] and MediFor examine media authenticity; [[MIT Lincoln Laboratory RIO]] detects influence operations; [[DISARM Framework]] supplies a common tactics vocabulary; [[Graphika]], [[Digital Forensic Research Lab]], and [[Microsoft Threat Analysis Center]] contribute open-source campaign analysis.
## Purpose
The layer compresses the time between campaign launch and recognition. It does not automatically prescribe censorship or counter-messaging; sensing, attribution, response authority, and confidence remain separate.
