# Media Access Control Address
A Media Access Control (MAC) address identifies a network interface within a link-layer context. One computer can have several MAC addresses because Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth interfaces are distinct; modern systems may also randomize addresses in some contexts.
