# Transparency Consent and Control
Transparency, Consent, and Control (TCC) is the Apple privacy-permission system governing access to protected user data and capabilities such as camera, microphone, contacts, calendars, accessibility, and screen recording.
## Notebook role
TCC appears on PDF page 47 of [[Scanned_20260730-1913]] as part of a managed-macOS profile stack. In enterprise administration, policy can predeclare or constrain some permissions, making TCC a boundary between user consent, application identity, and institutional device policy.
## Evidentiary boundary
A TCC profile name does not prove that a protected capability was accessed, that consent was bypassed, or that policy was unauthorized. Verification requires the actual payload, signer, scope, affected application identifiers, installed state, and dated device evidence.
