# Justice
**Domain:** American Trust Value
**System:** [[wiki/American Character|American Character]]
## Definition
Justice is lawful fairness made durable through competent institutions, evidence, process, and consequence. It requires more than kind intention because public trust depends on systems able to distinguish, decide, and act. Justice becomes weak when procedure cannot produce protection, and dangerous when power abandons truth. The American standard joins authority to responsibility so enforcement remains worthy of the nation it serves.
