Relevant events include dissolution, acquisition, loss of legal authority, sanctions, abandonment, loss of key personnel, platform obsolescence, jurisdictional prohibition, governance capture and slow service degradation. These hazards may be dependent: the same war, market crash or infrastructure shock can damage the sponsor, reserve and hosting provider together. For cause-specific hazards \(\lambda_i(t)\), a simplified survival function is: \[ S(t)=\exp\left(-\int_0^t \sum_i \lambda_i(u)\,du\right) \] The equation is only as sound as its event definitions, dependency assumptions and data. Extrapolating centuries from a short history of cloud firms would create false precision. ## Evidence Base Models can use corporate failure rates, trust and pension experience, infrastructure incident data, format obsolescence, legal regime changes and expert scenarios. Each proxy must be labeled because none is identical to a continuity institution. ## Design Use The purpose is not to predict an exact institutional death date. It is to set reserve margins, diversification rules, succession triggers, escrow requirements, migration intervals and stress scenarios.
