# Adaptive Coordination **Domain:** Systems Thinking / Cybernetics / Cooperation **Doc Type:** Canonical concept node **Maturity:** Developed ## Definition Adaptive coordination aligns action through shared direction, observation, feedback, and revision rather than attempting to dictate every movement of a complex system. ## Mechanism and Significance Participants act, observe consequences, exchange information, and adjust. The system can therefore incorporate local knowledge and changing conditions that no single controller can fully anticipate. ## Evidence Boundary Coordination still requires constraints, responsibilities, and decisions. Adaptation is not the absence of structure or accountability. ## Relationships Adaptive Systems · Feedback · Cooperation · Cybernetics ## Related Articles and Collections - Simple Reminders - A Systems-Diagnostic Framework for Planetary-Scale Computation - Participation as an Information-Causal Principle ## Simple Reminders, Quotations, and Thoughts > “Control attempts to dictate every movement of a complex system.
