# Addressable Proposition An addressable proposition is a complete statement with a stable location of its own. Once a proposition has a page and URI, it can be linked, indexed, shared, cited, retrieved, measured, and returned to its source. Atomic Markdown makes the proposition addressable because the author first certifies that it can survive outside the paragraph that produced it.
