# Ambient Sensing **Entity class:** Concept or operational method **Domain:** Architecture ## Definition Sensing embedded in everyday environments rather than confined to separately deployed collection missions. Vehicles, buildings, cameras, wearables, and industrial instruments generate observations that can support coordination and care. ## Operational role Civilian intelligence joins observations, specialist labor, platforms, and public missions in one operational environment. Reporting, contracts, and technical integration give participants different ways to contribute useful capacity. Bryant frames the market as an opportunity for patriotic participation: know the requirement, supply reliable work, and carry the professional discipline appropriate to the role. **Architecture connections:** Intelligence · Intelligence Fusion · Intelligence Community. ## Relationships - **article-linked mechanism or framework:** Sensing Infrastructure. - **article-linked mechanism or framework:** Sensor Mesh. - **collection route:** The Civilian Intelligence Marketplace. - **counterterrorism architecture:** Terrorism, Counterterrorism, and the Intelligence Environment. - **source article:** The Coming Market for Civilian Spycraft. ## Sources / Provenance - [[articles/The Coming Market for Civilian Spycraft#I.
