Activated in 2021 from the former 902nd Military Intelligence Group and an INSCOM counterintelligence/HUMINT staff element, ACIC conducts investigations, collection, operations, analysis, production and technical services against foreign-intelligence, insider and international-terrorist threats to the Army and DoD. ## Domestic Presence ACIC's regional headquarters, battalions, field offices and resident agencies demonstrate why Army counterterrorism infrastructure inside the United States matters. Its domestic work protects Army installations, people, defense critical infrastructure, research and modernization programs.
