# Bellcore Bell Communications Research, Inc. — the research organization created in 1984 to serve the seven [[wiki/Regional Bell Operating Companies|Regional Bell Operating Companies]] after the [[wiki/AT&T|AT&T]] divestiture. Renamed [[wiki/Telcordia Technologies|Telcordia Technologies]] in 1999, acquired by [[wiki/SAIC|SAIC]] in 2004, then by [[wiki/Ericsson|Ericsson]] in 2012. Its core numbering and routing division became [[wiki/Iconectiv|Iconectiv]].
