# Capability Replication
Capability replication is the transfer of an operating ability rather than the delivery of a finished artifact.
Software capability replication packages behavior, contracts, and infrastructure so another host can use them. Human capability replication also requires instruction, practice, judgment, responsibility, and conditions under which a person can make the capability their own.
Thought Leader School tested both layers by combining reusable publishing systems with teaching and amplification. Its history shows why technical replication and stewardship or character replication must remain distinct claims.
