# Closed Interpretive System A closed interpretive system is a worldview structured so that contrary evidence, outside sources, and failed predictions are reclassified as proof of the system's correctness. Loyalty replaces evaluation, and disagreement becomes evidence of corruption or enemy status. Closure is often gradual. Warning signs include rigid binaries, self-sealing explanations, escalating source exclusion, identity-bound slogans, and punishment for uncertainty. Reopening interpretive space requires dignity, trusted relationships, alternative explanations, and opportunities to test claims without humiliation.
