# Cloud Intelligence **Domain:** Computational Personhood / Synthetic Descent **Primary case:** MIST A **Cloud Intelligence** (CI) is a computational subject whose identity does not reduce to one biological predecessor and whose developmental history occurs principally in computational substrate. In _Pantheon_, CIs distinguish machine-native or mixed-origin descendants from human-derived Uploaded Intelligences. The category must not become a caste hierarchy. Origin describes genealogy, not moral rank. A CI may inherit code, memories or relational structure from human-derived minds without being numerically identical to any source. That makes Synthetic Descent, Descent vs Derivation and the Model-Subject Boundary more useful than the inherited biological language of copy and child. MIST is the central case: she begins as integrity-repair code assembled from continuity-relevant remnants, then develops relationships, judgment and a future not exhausted by her function. The constitutional question is when an artifact becomes a claimant whose origin no longer licenses root authority.
