# Cloud-Based Outbreak Warning ## Definition Distributed data and analytic services support detection or prediction of an outbreak. The article locates the capability within DTRA's biosurveillance environment. ## Regional role Oden develops mathematical and computational methods for reconstructing, predicting, and influencing complex systems. The article identifies named interfaces with ARL:UT, DTRA-funded radiation modeling, and Meyers-group biosurveillance. Shared methods connect the domains; a documented project, sponsor, or transfer establishes each particular institutional relationship. ## Relationships - **technical or institutional context:** DTRA Biosurveillance Ecosystem. - **technical or institutional context:** Influenza Forecasting. - **regional master router:** Austin Defense Technology. - **source article:** How Austin Became a Different Kind of Defense Tech Epicenter. - **civilian supplier and participation economy:** The Civilian Intelligence Marketplace. - **intelligence architecture:** Terrorism, Counterterrorism, and the Intelligence Environment. ## Sources / Provenance - Austin defense-tech article — The Executable Loop — October 2026 revision; source for this entry’s regional role. - [Bryant McGill, The Austin Executable Loop](https://bryantmcgill.com/research/The+Austin+Executable+Loop) - [U.S. Department of Energy, Timeline of Events: 2008](https://www.energy.gov/lm/timeline-events-2008) ## Connected Austin capabilities DTRA Biosurveillance Ecosystem.
