## Definition
**Computer vision** is the computational analysis of images and video to infer objects, structure, motion, spatial relations, and other visually represented properties.
## Ontology Context
Computer vision is a perceptual capability domain. It should not be conflated with a particular neural-network architecture, training method, or institution. In the continuity corpus it also supports image registration, connectomic reconstruction, and the interpretation of neural and biological imaging.
