It includes image storage, automated segmentation, agglomeration, error detection, human proofreading, annotation history, visualization, and derived representation learning. ## Reconstruction pipeline 1. Microscopy produces a large three-dimensional image volume. 2. **Flood-filling networks** segment candidate neurons by expanding object masks from local seeds. 3. **PATHFINDER** combines segmentation with downstream agglomeration, plausibility classification, and error detection. 4. **MoGen** supplies synthetic neuronal morphologies to train a shape-plausibility classifier and reduce split/merge errors. 5. **LICONN** extends the imaging side through hydrogel expansion, light microscopy, molecular labeling, and learned synapse detection. 6. **CAVE** preserves collaborative proofreading and version history; **Neuroglancer** provides browser visualization; **TensorStore** supports petascale array access; **SegCLR** learns cellular representations from electron-microscopy data. ## Why it matters The infrastructure converts a connectome from a static publication into a maintained research instrument.
