# Continuity Trust
**Domain:** Digital Afterlife / Finance / Fiduciary Governance
**Doc Type:** Canonical Concept
**Maturity:** Developed
**Evidence / Concept Status:** Proposed continuity instrument grounded in existing trust and segregated-fund structures
## Definition
A **Continuity Trust** is a ring-fenced fiduciary arrangement intended to hold assets, rights, keys, records, or payment streams for continuity beneficiaries independently of an operating provider's ordinary estate.
## Continuity Significance
Separating beneficiary resources from the provider reduces the chance that insolvency converts a service failure into loss of protected state or standing.
## Evidentiary Boundary / Red-Team Note
Perpetual-care trusts, endowments, client-fund segregation, and private preservation trusts are structural analogues. They do not establish a present legal trust form for rights-bearing computational subjects.
