# Counterintelligence Capture **Domain:** Counterintelligence / Deception / Perception **Doc Type:** Concept Node **Maturity:** Developed ## Definition **Counterintelligence capture occurs when a defender identifies, controls, or turns an adversary's collection network and uses it to shape what the adversary perceives.** The captured channel continues to appear as an intelligence source while serving the defender's informational design. ## War With Empire Context [[articles/war with empire/The Real Deep State Is British|The Real Deep State Is British]] uses Britain's Double Cross system as the apex case: the defender did not merely block hostile collection but captured the sensory organs through which the opponent interpreted reality. ## Boundary Capture requires demonstrated control of a channel or source.
