The 2019 LEIS privacy assessment records ICEPIC's retirement in 2012, replacement by DPICS2, and DPICS2's retirement in 2014. ## Architectural Transition ICEPIC and DPICS2 maintained repository functions supporting pattern analysis and information sharing. After their retirement, the [[wiki/DHS Law Enforcement Information Sharing Service|LEIS Service]] continued as a standalone web-service layer retrieving selected information from source systems. The transition moved the architecture from a named analytical repository toward a distributed exchange model. The public record establishes this system lineage.
