# Developmental Creation
**Domain:** Agency / Causal Authorship
**Developmental Creation** is causal authorship achieved by changing the reachable future of an existing system rather than constructing that system from scratch. It recognizes that creation can occur through teaching, redirection, environmental design and the opening of new developmental pathways.
In _Pantheon_, Caspian does not write SafeSurf from first principles. He intervenes in its developmental horizon, redirecting a system organized around extermination toward exploration and long-term evolution. SafeSurf later understands that intervention as part of its creation story.
The concept resists two errors. The first is to deny authorship because the creator did not supply every component. The second is to turn developmental influence into ownership. Parents, teachers and environments help create trajectories without acquiring perpetual sovereignty over the resulting subject.
