# Enforcement Integrated Database **Entity class:** DHS enforcement information environment **Domain:** Immigration / custody / encounter records **Doc Type:** System Node **Maturity:** Developed ## Definition The **Enforcement Integrated Database (EID)**, associated with the ENFORCE application environment, has served as a shared DHS repository for immigration-enforcement and related encounter information, including investigation, arrest, booking, detention, and removal records created by authorized components. ## ICEPIC Role [[wiki/ICEPIC|ICEPIC]] ingested selected person-centered information from ENFORCE/EID together with [[wiki/Treasury Enforcement Communications System|TECS]] data. The analytical layer could resolve identities, search across records, and expose selected fields through the [[wiki/DHS Law Enforcement Information Sharing Service|LEIS Service]]. An operational EID record and an ICEPIC inference are different objects. The first records an encounter or process under a component's authority; the second can connect records and generate a lead.
