# Externalized Recursive Introspection Externalized recursive introspection is the repeated evaluation of a thought through multiple explicit representations while the thought is being formed. In Atomic Markdown, the writer tests a consequential sentence inside its paragraph, alone as a quotation, across the transformation between those forms, and inside a paragraph that may itself become a reusable passage. The recursion turns extraction from a publishing afterthought into a discipline acting on composition.
