# Feedback and Relationships
**Domain:** Cybernetics / Behavioral Science
**Doc Type:** Concept Node
**Maturity:** Developed
## Definition
Feedback and relationships describes how attention, access, delay, praise, resistance, and consequence alter the conduct a relationship repeatedly produces.
## Mechanism
Responses function as rewards, costs, and information. Changing a response pattern changes the environment in which the other person's behavior is selected and interpreted.
## Significance
Relational agency grows when people observe the loop they participate in and adjust their own contribution without pretending to control another person.

## Simple Reminders, Quotations, and Thoughts
> “Behavior follows its price. Attention, quick replies, and emotional reactions all reward a pattern, while calm limits make careless treatment more costly. Changing the feedback changes what a relationship keeps producing.”
