Turing's 1930 “Nature of Spirit” and his 1951 lecture span salvation and succession. Bernal's engineered brains and composite minds span survival, salvation and speciation. The ledger therefore records each motive separately while allowing multiple supported assignments. ## Analytical Scope The categories identify documented motives and keep them distinct from demonstrated outcomes. A defense project can establish sovereignty capability; a clinical neural interface can establish survival intent; a published succession argument can establish a stated horizon.
