It establishes that human cortical tissue can be imaged, segmented, proofread, and explored at petascale, while remaining a fragment rather than a whole-brain map. ## Infrastructure role H01 helped establish the shared software substrate now used across major connectomics efforts: browser-based volumetric exploration through Neuroglancer, multidimensional array access through TensorStore, and collaborative versioned proofreading through CAVE.
