# Headless CMS A headless CMS separates canonical content management from any single presentation frontend. Content can be rendered into websites, feeds, applications, posters, search indexes, or other channels. AutoSites was not originally marketed with this vocabulary, but its Markdown sources, themes, output modules, feed projections, Google Docs adapter, and generated assets show the same separation of content from presentation.
