An **information estate** is the accumulated body of data, accounts, credentials, archives, communications, intellectual property, systems, domains, relationships and provenance through which a person or organization operates and preserves continuity.
## Personal-Enterprise Context
An individual's information estate can reach enterprise scale. The legal boundary around one person does not reduce the number of systems, dependencies or recovery obligations involved.
