Its work includes international telecommunications standards, radio-frequency spectrum, satellite orbits and connectivity development. The ITU is not an intelligence service and should not be collapsed into [[wiki/Five Eyes|Five Eyes]]. Its relevance to machine intelligence lies in coordination: standards make devices, networks and institutions capable of exchanging information across vendors and jurisdictions. ## AI and Network Context Current ITU work addresses AI-native networks, machine-learning pipelines, AI and Internet of Things integration, semantic interoperability and collaboration among AI agents. These are enabling conditions rather than proof of an emergent mind. They may nonetheless determine whether local systems can form a global computational ecology.
