The International Military Tribunal convicted him of crimes against humanity for his role in inciting persecution and extermination and sentenced him to death. ## Significance Streicher is a landmark for analyzing speech, repetition, dehumanization, and mass violence. The case does not make all hateful speech legally equivalent; it demonstrates the evidentiary importance of context, reach, persistence, political power, and explicit incitement during an ongoing program of mass murder. ## Sources - USHMM, [Julius Streicher](https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/julius-streicher) ## Routes Ferdinand Nahimana · Firehose of Falsehood · Democide
