Solvers have decrypted portions of it, while substantial portions remain publicly unsolved. It is one of the principal surviving artifacts through which claims about Cicada methods, cryptography, and terminal purpose can be tested. ## Evidentiary boundary The artifact's association with the established Cicada signing key and puzzle sequence supports authenticity within that sequence. It does not establish the real-world identity of the key holder, the existence of a completed recruitment program, or the institutional purpose of the book.
