**Series:** Pantheon
**Maddie Kim** moves through _Pantheon_ from witness and daughter to advocate, governor and deep-time world-builder. Her first constitutional act is recognition: she treats messages from David as a relational claim before the technical category of the speaker is settled.
Her later arc expands that intimate question into civilizational governance. Maddie participates in a world where embodied humans, UIs and CIs require shared law and infrastructure, then becomes a Residual Sovereign operating simulations at extraordinary scale. Her attempt to reconstruct Caspian creates the central problem of Reconstructive World Simulation: a world used as an instrument may contain subjects to whom the world-builder owes duties.
Maddie is therefore neither simply savior nor administrator. She is a case for Ontological Reciprocity—the rules she applies downward may also apply to her from a higher layer. Her final voluntary re-immersion makes bounded simulation a chosen habitat rather than merely a prison.
