# Meta El Paso Data Center **Entity class:** Civilian hyperscale AI data-center campus ## Definition The **Meta El Paso Data Center** is a planned one-gigawatt AI campus in Northeast El Paso. Meta announced in July 2026 that the approximately $14 billion development would be owned through an 80/20 [[wiki/BlackRock|BlackRock]]–[[wiki/Meta|Meta]] venture, with Meta contributing more than $10 billion and initially occupying the entire campus. Capacity is expected to begin coming online in 2028. The project originated in a City of El Paso agreement approved in December 2023 under [[wiki/Wurldwide LLC|Wurldwide LLC]], before [[wiki/Executive Order 14318|Executive Order 14318]].
