## Definition
**Model-space sovereignty** is the capacity to establish or revise the representational conditions through which decentralized intelligences become legible, interoperable and actionable. Those conditions include schemas, identity bindings, variables, permissions, objective functions, authoritative records, uncertainty, model fidelity and reconciliation rules.
The term is a corpus synthesis. It is distinct from ordinary surveillance, which concerns observation, and from direct command, which specifies behavior. Model-space authority defines the environment in which observation becomes meaningful and action becomes executable.
