# Narrative Detection
Narrative detection identifies emerging or recurring interpretive frames across messages, communities, and time. It combines semantic features—roles, causal claims, metaphors, slogans, grievances, values—with behavioral features such as timing, repetition, channel movement, and source relationships.
Detection can support early warning, public communication, and research, but it does not prove intent. Systems should retain provenance, expose uncertainty, distinguish organic convergence from coordination, and permit human review.
