# Pluralism **Domain:** Philosophy / Politics / Epistemology **Doc Type:** Concept Node **Maturity:** Developed ## Definition **Pluralism** holds that a domain may contain multiple irreducible values, perspectives, forms, causes, or modes of explanation. It resists the assumption that every difference must collapse into one vocabulary or hierarchy. Pluralism does not require that all claims be equally valid. It can preserve standards of evidence while recognizing that no single scale, discipline, or representation exhausts a complex reality. ## Corpus Context The corpus uses pluralism as protection against premature unity and managed binaries. It complements Epistemic Humility by keeping more than one legitimate descriptive channel open. ## See Also Monism · Dialectics · Ambiguity · Agency
