Substrate independence does not imply bodilessness. A post-biological subject may still require movement, touch, orientation, intimacy, self-presentation and recognition. Embodiment can be simulated, robotic, synthetic, distributed or hybrid while remaining morally significant to the subject. ## San Junipero Context [[Black Mirror S3E4 — San Junipero]] restores Yorkie's ability to walk, dance, drive, choose clothing and form an intimate relationship.
