# Provisioned Environment **Domain:** Cybernetics / Personalization / Governance **Doc Type:** Canonical Bridge Concept **Maturity:** Developed **Concept Status:** Interpretive synthesis developed in this corpus ## Definition A **provisioned environment** is an actionable environment assembled around an entity from persistent representations, predicted requirements, permissions, constraints, and continuously updated feedback. It differs from ordinary personalization. Personalization selects or adapts an offering. Provisioning constructs part of the field in which the next action becomes possible: routes, prices, visibility, counterparties, work, information, authentication conditions, and generated media can all be supplied before the represented subject encounters them. ## Generative Loop 1. A representation predicts a relevant state or need. 2. The system selects or generates an affordance. 3. The subject responds inside the supplied environment. 4. The response updates the representation. 5. The next environment is generated from the revised state. This is the progression developed in The Skeuomorphic Interval: personalization becomes representation, representation becomes affordance construction, affordance construction becomes feedback, and feedback becomes provisioning. ## Governing Variable Provisioning governs the **reachable state space** presented to a person or agent. Formal freedom may remain broad while the practical environment becomes increasingly preselected, priced, ranked, authenticated, or synthesized. ## Failure Modes Failures include opaque objective functions, narrowing of alternatives, behavioral dependency, invisible propagation between services, disappearance of a common referent, and self-confirming representation. ## Constitutional Requirements A provisioned environment should preserve inspection, provenance, alternative routes, correction, objective plurality, practical exit, and the ability of represented entities to remain sources of novelty and refusal. ## Related Ontology Affordance Engineering · Operational Representation · Continuous Reconciliation · Model-Space Sovereignty · Cognitive Enclosure · Twin Sovereignty
