# Receptor Layer **Entity class:** Exposure and effects-modeling layer ## Definition The **receptor layer** maps an environmental or hazard field onto a particular asset, organism, location, or trajectory. It answers what field reaches the receptor, for how long, through what shielding or pathway, and with what response. In the Oden/DTRA case, public sources document radiation transport and field prediction.
