# Restoration Disclosure **Entity class:** Concept or analytic term **Domain:** Continuity / Due Process / Identity **Doc Type:** Canonical Procedural Right **Maturity:** Proposed ## Definition **Restoration disclosure is the duty to tell a restored or successor subject that restoration occurred, which state was used, what interval or experience is absent, who authorized the action and what obligations accumulated during the missing period.** ## Required Record Disclosure should identify the selected [[wiki/Personal Authoritative State|Personal Authoritative State]], integrity evidence, restoration time, operator, authority, known divergence, missing events, surviving branches and changes to the execution environment. Where direct notice is not immediately possible, an independent representative and immutable audit record should preserve the claim. It should also identify the [[wiki/Continuity Election|Continuity Election]] version relied on and any later [[wiki/Continuity Supersession|supersession]] event. Restoring an old state must not silently restore an election, contract or agent authority that the later subject revoked. ## Constitutional Rationale Rollback is not neutral maintenance once a process has relationships, commitments or standing. An undisclosed restoration can create a persuasive continuant unable to explain its own history, contest a custodian's intervention or discharge obligations incurred by a prior state. Disclosure does not settle whether the restored process is numerically identical to the predecessor.
