The standard should distinguish: - successful execution; - successful functional recovery; - recovery of the intended lineage; - continuity of the protected subject; and - creation of a successor requiring independent standing. Biological restoration research supplies a parallel caution: BrainEx and OrganEx restored specified cellular and organ functions after death without restoring organized global electrical activity indicating consciousness.
