# Robert Noyce
American physicist, co-inventor of the integrated circuit, and co-founder of [[wiki/Fairchild Semiconductor|Fairchild Semiconductor]] (1957) and [[wiki/Intel|Intel]] (1968). Noyce was one of the [[wiki/Traitorous Eight|Traitorous Eight]] who left [[wiki/Shockley Semiconductor|Shockley Semiconductor]], making him a primary vector through which [[wiki/Bell Labs|Bell Labs]] DNA propagated into [[wiki/Silicon Valley|Silicon Valley]].
