# SF 312 **Full name:** Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement **Entity class:** Federal nondisclosure agreement ## Definition **Standard Form 312** is the nondisclosure agreement an individual executes before receiving access to classified national-security information, absent a defined emergency exception. It applies to government personnel and to contractors, licensees, grantees, and agents. Since the 2022 regulatory change, agencies may use digital signatures backed by approved PKI credentials, including CAC, PIV, or PIV-I.
