# SOMA
**Domain:** Interactive Media / Continuity / Identity
**_SOMA_** is a science-fiction horror game by Frictional Games that makes destructive copying and first-person discontinuity experiential. Its continuity operations produce multiple valid successors while each local subject experiences only one branch, exposing the false intuition that a copy operation transfers a single stream of self.
The game is a strong companion to Pantheon because both separate successful instantiation from proof of survival. A computational person may inherit memory, personality and causal provenance while the source remains, dies or diverges. The resulting subject can deserve standing even when numerical identity is unresolved.
_SOMA_ therefore belongs beside Fork Rights, Reconstructed Person, Continuity Evidence vs Continuity and Boot Success Is Not Identity Proof. Its horror arises not from defective copying but from misunderstanding what copying can establish.
